Bobbie is a registered midwife and mum on the Gold Coast. After years of supporting women as they found their feet with feeding, she wanted a way to honour that work in something you can keep close.
She developed her own method to preserve and prepare breastmilk, and makes every stone by hand in small monthly batches.
An average year of breastfeeding is around 1,800 hours. That's a full-time job.

Featuring a delicate 6 mm heart, this design is made to sit softly against the finger, subtle enough for everyday wear yet full of meaning. It’s a piece that doesn’t shout, but instead holds something deeply personal close to you.
Each heart stone is individually handcrafted, allowing your chosen inclusion to be set within the resin in a way that is completely unique to you. Whether it represents a season of breastfeeding, motherhood, or another cherished chapter, no two hearts will ever be the same. Designed to be worn alone or layered with your favourite stackers, the Secret Stacker Heart is a gentle reminder of a moment that mattered.

Each keepsake stone is individually handcrafted, meaning no two pieces will ever be the same. Due to the nature of resin and the handcrafting process, small bubbles or subtle surface variations may be present. These are a natural part of creating something by hand and are what make each piece uniquely yours. Please note that plated finishes are not permanent and may wear over time depending on use and care.
Materials and finish
Sterling silver made specially for Midwife Balance. Many pieces are also available with white, yellow or rose gold plating, and any piece can be made in solid gold on quote.
Caring for your keepsake
Polish the silver with the cloth provided, but not the stone. Take it off for showering, swimming, hand sanitiser, sunscreen and cleaning products, and store it in its box away from sunlight.

Guarantee and waterproof coating
Every piece comes with a 12 month guarantee. If anything goes wrong, send it back and Bobbie will repair or replace it. The optional waterproof coating protects against fresh water and extends this to two years. Plating is not covered as it naturally wears over time.

Your questions, answered
How do I send my milk?
Pop 5 to 10ml into a milk storage bag or a good sandwich bag, double bag it and squeeze out the air. Post it in a padded envelope or small box. The postal address comes with your receipt. Registered post is best, and please don't send the last of anything.
Can I use old or frozen milk?
Yes. Milk from the back of the freezer is perfect, just defrost it first. It doesn't need to be fit to drink, and it's fine if it spoils in the post. The preservation process takes care of that.
How do you know it's my milk?
Your inclusions are labelled the moment they arrive, and that label stays with them through every step until your piece is finished.
What else can I add?
Placenta (one capsule is plenty), ashes (half a teaspoon), hair, soil, sand or fabric. Have another idea? Get in touch and Bobbie will see what she can create.
When will my keepsake arrive?
Each piece is made to order. The current creation time is 8 to 12 weeks from when your inclusions arrive. Bobbie keeps you posted at each stage and sends tracking when it ships.
What if I don't know my ring size?
Pop your ring size, or that you're not sure yet, in the notes when you order and Bobbie will help you confirm it before she begins.
Will my stone change colour?
Not with good care. Keep it out of sunlight when you're not wearing it, and away from water, lotions and chemicals. With normal wear it's made to last a lifetime.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, for a flat $15. You'll just need to post your milk to Bobbie in Queensland.
